Caption of the first was: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAKING PROVISION FOR THE PUR- <br />.,CHASE OF AND PAYMENT FOR TWO POLICE CARS; PROV- <br />ISION FOR THE ISSUANCE OF $3,750.00 AT 4i% TIME <br />WARRANTS BY SAID CITY IN PAYMENT FOR SAID POLICE <br />CARS; PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF <br />TAXES ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY IN AN <br />AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE INTEREST ON SUCH WARR- <br />ANTS AND THE PRINCIPAL THEREOF AT MATURITY. <br /> <br />Alderman Damon moved adoption of the Ordinance, Alderman <br />Whittenberg seconded the motion and on roll cal I, the fol low- <br />i ng vote was recorded: <br /> <br />. He expressed the opinion that it was <br />a simple matter of legal interpretation and he thought it <br />ought to be accepted. Alderman Whittenberg said he thought <br />the City was losing money by not accepting the L.C.R.A. pro- <br />posal. The Mayor directed the City Manager to request an op- <br />inion from the City Attorney on the matter for the next meeting, <br />
