<br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Rev. A.T. Harris, Pastor of A.M.E. Wesley Chapel, gave the
<br />Invocation.

<br />The Minutes of the meetings of February 27 and March I, 1967
<br />were considered. Alderman Damon moved approval of the Minutes,
<br />as presented. Alderman Whittenberg called attention to page three
<br />of the February 27 Minutes, saying he would like to be quoted
<br />more fully on his stated position on the proposed "Civic Center".
<br />The City Secretary read the passage aloud: "Mr. Whittenberg said
<br />the bui Iding as presently described by Housing and Urban Develop-
<br />ment was not the type described to the voters when information
<br />was put out before the bond issue", and sa i d she re a I i zed a lot
<br />of discussion had been compressed in one sentence, iri the interest
<br />of concise Minutes. She ~sked Mr. Whittenberg ~ogive her in
<br />wri~ingthe comments he had made during the discussion that he
<br />wished included. He agreed. With this addjtj'on to the Minutes,
<br />Mr. Damon's motion was seconded by Alderman Froh, and the fol low-
<br />ing vote recorded:
