<br />I <br /> <br />National Bank of San Marcos, San Marcos, Texas, without exchange or <br />collection charges to the owner or holder; interest payable upon <br />presentation of warrant and principal payable upon presentation and <br />surrender of warrant; and the City Treasurer of the City of San <br />Marcos is hereby authorized, ordered and directed to pay to bearer <br />at said Bank the sum of One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars on the 1st <br />day of April, 19____, the maturity date of this warrant, in full <br />settlement of the indebtedness hereby evidenced, out of and from <br />the special "General Purpose Warrants, Series 1967 Fund" of said <br />City, levied, assessed and created for that purpose. <br />This warrant is one of a series of 200 warrants, numbered con- <br />secutively from 1 to 200, inclusive, of the denomination of One <br />Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars each, aggregating Two Hundred Thousand <br />($200,000.00) Dollars, issued by said City for the purpose of evi- <br />dencing indebtedness of the City of San Marcos to be incurred for <br />general operating purposes, including salaries, materials, supplies, <br />and legal and other necessary general operating expenses of said <br />City, under and by virtue of the Constitution and laws of the State <br />of Texas and the Charter of said City, and in pursuance of an <br />ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, <br />which ordinance is recorded in the Minutes of said City Council. <br />The date of this warrant, in conformity with said ordinance, <br />is April 1, 1967. <br />AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED AND RECITED that all acts, conditions <br />and things required to be done precedent to and in the issuance of <br />this warrant have been properly done, have happened and been per- <br />formed in regular and due time, form and manner, as provided by law, <br />and that the total indebtedness of said City, inclUding this warrant, <br />does not exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation. <br />IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has caused <br />the corporate seal of said City to be affixed hereto and this warrant <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I I <br /> <br />L_ <br />
