<br />regular meeting, apri I 10, 1967 <br /> <br />page seven <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved that an investigation be made of the <br />policies governing use of bal Ifields in cities of com- <br />parable size, so that a comparison may be made with the <br />San Marcos schedule of charges. Mr. Damon seconded the <br />motion and on 1'01 I cal I the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />Pool <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Damon suggested that the City Manager check with the <br />Texas Municipal League for comparative charges for use of <br />ballfields in. city parks. <br /> <br />The City Manager asked that a replacement for Mr. Froh be <br />named on the Land Committee. The Mayor appointed Mr. Flores. <br /> <br />Mr. Wolff discussed with the Counci I the deplorable con- <br />dition of the City's equipment. He said no progress could <br />be made on paving unti I the worn-out equipment is replaced. <br />He also asked that an assessment p'an be studied as a sound <br />way of financing the street improvement program. Long-term <br />financing of the purchase of equipment was discussed. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked the Mqyor Pro Tem to take the chair. Mr. <br />Serur moved that the City Manager be authorized to ask for <br />bids on a used loader and truck chassis. Mr. Damon seconded <br />the motion and on 1'01 I cal I, the fol lowing votes were recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, <br />Serur, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Manager discussed the urgent need of a pump to use <br />on the new water well.
