Froh <br />for his service on the Council, and moved its approval. <br />Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on roll call, the <br />fo I low i ng votew Was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Craddock, Flores, Korff, Pool, <br />Serur, Whittenberg <br />NA Y: None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution. Passed and Approved, <br />and asked the City Secretary to forward a copy to <br />Mr. Froh. <br /> <br />The May6r asked the City Manager the cost of repairing <br />Warden Lan~. Mr. Wolff said he could not give exact <br />figures, recalling to Mr. Serur the involvement with <br />Asa De~s on the paving job. He said he did recommend <br />to the Counci I that it be repaired. The Council gave <br />common consent to the repairing of Warden Lane. <br /> <br />Dr. Poo I brought before the Counc i I the new .schedu I e of <br />fees for .use of the bal Ifields at City Park, and regist- <br />ered a protest on charging a fee to schools and organi <br />zations for practice use. He cited the City of Seguin <br />as one municipality that makes no charge to the schools <br />and Texas Lutheran Col lege for use of bal Ifields. He <br />said he had fought the fee schedule every year; that he <br />felt the City should furnish recreation faci lities and <br />shou I d bear the cost. It was brought out that the Coun- <br />ci I had voted to give the Parks & ~ecreation Board the <br />fees collected for use of the park facilities, to use I <br />in its park beautification program. Dr. Pool moved <br />(I) if fees have been granted the Parks & Recreation <br />Board, the Counc i I act i on be resC i nded; (2) if any fees <br />have been co\ lected, that they be refunded. Mr. Damon <br />seconded the motion. The City Manager said the College <br />had been b i. I 'ed; that they pi an to u.se the fie Ids as <br />part of their program. Dr. Pool read out the new sched <br />ute of ~ees~ a~d stated it was a real hardship on some <br />groups to pay the fees. The Mayor asked if Dr. Pool <br />h'ere referring .in his motion only to use of fje.lds for <br />~ractice. Dr. Pool said: "Yes". Dr. Craddock enquired <br />about charges in other towns . . The C; ty Manager sU9gest- <br />ed that ~he matter be~efe~red unti I oMe" of the co-chair- <br />men of th~ Boafdcould be pr~sent. Dr. Pool said he did <br />not wi shto defer the matter.
