Iv AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, I NTO SA I D C!TY I WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (!) mi Ie in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for members of the State legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof for al I pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it wi II be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its mu n i c i pa I I i m i ts , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Counci I of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, hereinafter described by lot and addition, be and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City, in accord- ance with law. SAID STRIP OF lAND IS described as: I Portions of lots 8,9 & 10 of Block 3, Fairl~wn Addition. PASSED on first read i ng the 10th day of Apr i I. 1967.
