<br />/!; \ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF AN ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTED ON JULY 25, 1950, OF RECORD IN VOLUME II, <br />PAGES 390-395 OF THE RECORDS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED: "AN <br />ORDINANCE CREATING AND DEFINING PARKING METER <br />ZONE, ETC."; DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Council <br />that the present "Parking Meter Zone" requires revision to <br />meet the increased need for adequate parking in the City; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is in the best interest <br />of the citizens of San Marcos, Texas to amend Section 3 in the <br />"Parking Meter Ordinance": <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, that an Ordinance adopted on the 25th <br />day of July, 1950, be amended as follows: <br /> <br />"SECTION 3. PARKING METER ZONE DEFINED. The following <br />described streets and parts of streets in the City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, are designated as "Parking Meter Zone", to wit: <br /> <br />g. "Roanoak Street <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />h. "Court House Square", being Hopkins Street <br />between LBJ Drive and Guadalupe Street; <br />Guadalupe Street between Hopkins and <br />San Antonio Street; San Antonio Street <br />between Guadalupe and LBJ Drive; and <br />LBJ Drive between San Antonio and Hopkins." <br /> <br />By reason of the fact that the City Council of the City of <br />San Marcos considers the passage of this Ordinance necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of public health, peace and <br />welfape of said City, it is hereby declared an emergency <br />measure, demanding that the rules requiping ordinances to <br />be read on three several days, and that no ordinance shall <br />become effective unti I the expiration of ten (10) days <br />following the date of its final passage, be suspended, and <br />that this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force <br />immediately upon its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of May, 1967. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~d~J!/~~la tilL <br /> <br />Dorothy ~.
