Mr. Whittenberg <br />seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor reported On a meeti~g attend~d by official~ of the <br />three taKing agencies cooperating on there-evaluation program. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked for names to be presented for a 1967 Board of <br />Equalization. He stated that the Charter provides for appoint- <br />ment of five members to the Board. Names ~uggested were: <br />W.R, Boucher, Cole Y. Herron, Ruben Ruiz, Roy Buffin~ton, <br />Charles Clayton and Albert Aranda. The first five named were <br />appointed, after vote by secret ballot. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced and read aloud a Resolution authorizing <br />the sale of two tracts of land on Mill Street to Enrique Espinosa <br />and Alfonso Rodriguez. The Resolution is attached. Councilman <br />Korff moved approval of the Resolution. Counoilman Whittenberg <br />seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A recommendation from the Parks & Recreation Board was read <br />aloud by iheMayor, see attached letter. Mr. Korff moved that <br />the Council accept the' Board's recommendation, and that the <br />Children of Mary be allowed to sell snow cones in the City Park <br />on Sunday afternoons during the three Summer months, with 20% of <br />the gross receipts being paid to the City. Dr. Craddock seconded <br />the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Dambn, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager reported he had checked the bids opened at a <br />previous meeting, and found the low bidder to be Allen Motor Co., <br />and that their bid met all ~pecifications. He requested author- <br />ization to buy two trucks, instead of one gravel truck, and one <br />pickup truck, as ~rovided for in the budget. He stated Allen Motor <br />Co. was agreeable to selling two trucks on tWe same bid. Mr. <br />Whittenberg said he saw no objection to purchasing the trucks from <br />Allen Motor Co., but it was possible other firms might have bid <br />a different figure, if they had known two trucks were to be pur- <br />chased. Dr. Craddock moved that the Council accept Allen Motor Co.'s <br />bid for one truck. Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on roll call <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff,Serur, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from the Rev. C. Eugene Jennings, <br />rector df St. Mark's Church, thanking the Council for authorizing <br />a street light in front of the church. <br />
