<br />regular meeting, may 22, 1967 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />felt additional money should be spent to enlarge the <br />present plant, and not contaminate the San Marcos River. <br />The Mayor said every consideration would be given the <br />request of the delegation, and stated: <br />uWe have a hard decision to make. The rights of the major- <br />ity in a democracy supercede the rights of any individual. <br />I will put you on notice that we will buy a sewer plant site. <br />We are trying to do a job for all the people in San Marcos. <br />We have to have the property. U has to go through somebody's <br />property. We have to rely on our engineers to advise us on <br />the best location for the plant." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Four a~nexation ordinances were presented for final reading. <br />Mr. Korff moved that the ordinances annexing the Norwood, <br />Yarrington and Wiemers property, and a portion of LBJ Drive <br />be passed by caption on final reading. Dr. Craddock seconded <br />the motion and on roll call,the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the four ordinances Passed, Approved <br />and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read it in full. <br />Caption of the ordinance is as follows: <br /> <br />AN OROINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF AN ORDINANCE <br />ADOPTED ON JULY 25, 1950, OF RECORD IN VOLUME 11, <br />PAGES 390-395 OF THE RECORDS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED: "AN <br />ORDINANCE CREATING AND DEFINING PARKING METER ZONE, <br />ETC.u;DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Damon moved that the ordinance be adopted as an <br />emergency, with one reading. Mr. Korff seconded the motion, <br />and on roll call, the following vote WaS recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, KQrff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a Resolution authorizing issuance of <br />warrants. It .was read 1n full, and is attabhed and made. a <br />part of the Minutes. Mr. Damon .moved approval of the Res- <br />olution. Mr. Whittenberg seconded the motion aD~ on roll <br />call,the following vote was recprded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Serur, Whittenberg <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayord~clared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A Re~olution was introduced and read aloud by the Mayor. <br />Caption is as follows: <br />"A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAt THE CAMPUS MASTER PLAN FOR <br />THE EXTENSION AND EXPANSION OF THE SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE <br />COLLEGE CONfORMS TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS; AND ADOPTING AND RATIFYING SAID .CAMPUS <br />MASTER PLAN AS A PART OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS' GENERAL <br />PLAN FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY AS A WHOLE". <br />
