<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY <br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not <br />exceeding one-half (~) mile in width, being contiguous and <br />adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for mem- <br />bers of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of <br />San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the municipal <br />limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked <br />"Exhibit A", and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San <br />Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter <br />described by metes and bounds, be and the same hereby is re- <br />ceived as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate <br />limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to <br />include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory <br />so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San <br />Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said <br />City, in accordance with law. <br /> <br />Said tract is described as: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Lots 505 & 506, Block 34, Westover Addition <br /> <br />This parcel is to be zoned "R-2", duplex. <br /> <br />PASSED ON FIRST READING the 26th day of June, 1967. <br /> <br />PASSED ON SECOND READING the lOth day of July, 1967. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of July, 1967. <br /> <br /> <br />~&~~~/ <br /> <br />Ellis Serur <br />Mayor <br /> <br />I <br />
