<br />AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY
<br />ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, the owner of a tract of land in the Westover Addition
<br />in Hays County, Texas, desires to have said tract annexed to
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said tract is not contiguous to the City Limits of
<br />San Marcos, and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said tract fronts on Hazleton Street, which inter-
<br />sects Furman Street, which connects with Advance Street, the
<br />existing San Marcos City Limits;
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San
<br />Marcos to annex said strip of land, a portion of Furman Street,
<br />a road in Hays County, Texas, within its municipal limits:
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, that said strip of land, a portion
<br />of Furman Street, hereinafter described by metes and bounds,
<br />be, and the same hereby is, received as part of the City of
<br />San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos
<br />are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and
<br />from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall
<br />be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by
<br />the acts and ordinances of said City, in accordance with law.

<br />Said strip of land is described as:

<br />BEGINNING at a point located on the Southeast
<br />corner of the intersection of Hazleton Street
<br />and Furman Street, said point also being the
<br />east corner of Lot 505, Blk. 34, Westover Add-
<br />ition,
<br />THENCE, S450E, 631.0 ft. to a point lying on
<br />the south corner of Lot 588, 'Blk. 43, Westover
<br />Addition, said point also lying on the existing
<br />City Limits Line of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />THENCE, S44026'W, 50.0 ft. to the southeast corner
<br />of Lot 589, Blk. 42, Westover Addition,
<br />THENCE, N450W, 631.0 ft. to a point, said point
<br />being the most northerly corner of Lot 504, Blk. 35,
<br />Westover Addition;
<br />THENCE, N450E, 50.0 ft. to POINT OF BEGINNING.
