I I I I I L-__' AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY WHEREAS, the owners of a strip of land, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (~) mile in width, being contiguous and adjacent to the present residents, qualified to vote for mem- bers of the State Legislature, have petitioned the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within the municipal limits, a copy of said petition being hereto attached, marked "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to annex said strip of land within its municipal limits; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land, hereinafter described by metes and bounds, be and the same hereby is re- ceived as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be a part of the City of San Marcos, and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City, in accordance with law. Said tract is described as: Lots 505 and 506, Block 34, Westover Addition This parcel is to be zoned "R-2", duplex. PASSED ON FIRST READING the 26th day of June, 1967. PASSED ON SECOND READING the loth day of July, 1967.
