Younger, jr.,Chairman. <br />They are attacihed as a part of the Minut~s. Dr. Craddock <br />requested that Mr. Younger be asked to clarify the last <br />paragraph of the July 26 letter, which read: <br />"The Planning Commission would also like for the City to <br />more actively police the buildings and subdivisions that <br />are outside of the City on a one mi Ie and five mile radius <br />of the City". <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Garland Stokes appeared before the Council to petition <br />annexation of property ~omprising a new ~ubdivi~ion~ <br />Hughson Heights. Members of the Councii I examined a plat <br />of the area as Mr. Stokes explained the layout. Avai la- <br />bi lity of City uti lities and the City's particip~tion in <br />the cost of services were discussed at length. Mr. Stokes <br />made reference to provisions of the City's Stibdivision <br />Ordiflance, granting a rebate of 80% of the cost of water <br />and sewer extensions within a new subdivision, payable out <br />of revenue over a 20-year period. This sect~on was deleted <br />by an ameridment in 1964. Mr. Stokes asked that it be re- <br />stored to the Ordinance, and that the City rebate 80% of <br />the cost of water and sewer lines within the subdivision, <br />payable from revenue over a twenty-year period. After a <br />lengthy dis~ussion on probable costs, Dr. Pool moved that <br />the pet~tion for anriexation be accepted, and a further study <br />be made of the City's participation in the cost of uti lities <br />in the subdivision. He recommended that lights <br />at two additional intersections be included in the system, for <br />efficiency and safety. City Manage~ Bean reccimmended that <br />the signa I lights ,at Hutchison and RMI2 and Guadalupe at <br />Cheatham be included in the new system. Dr. Craddock moved that the Counc i I <br />authori ze the change order to provi de ,two, more traff i c I i gpts <br />at a cost of $1600.
