REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER II, 1967 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur I Counc:ilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Caesar A. Damon Luciano H. Flores Herman Korff William C. Pool, Ph.D. Mark H. Whittenberg City Manager City Secretary Richard G. Bean Dorothy O. Worrell Visitors: Jim Griffith, Jim T. Brown, W.W. "Bill"Cox, Bob Barton The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The City Secretary gave the Invocation. The Minutes of the August 28, 1967 meeting were approved as presented, on motion of Dr. Craddock and second of Mr. Damon. I Dr. Pool introduced an ordinance authorizing issuanc:e of warrants for current expenses in the amount bf $42,000, and moved its adoption asan emergency. The or.dinance was read in fulL The motion was seconded by Councilman Korff. On roll call, the follow- ing vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, S~rur, Whittenberg NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Ap~roved and Adopted. Dr. Craddock moved adoption on second reading of ~n ordinance annexing Hughson Heights. Mr. Flores seconded the ~ot~on and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur, Whittenberg NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance passed on second reading. Dr. Craddock moved adoption of an ordinance annexing Tanglewood #2, on third and final reading. Mr. Whittenberg seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores. Korff. Pool,Serur, Whittenberg NA Y: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Mr. Damon moved adoption .of an ordinance abandonihg ~ertain streets, and authorizing the eXecution ~f a quitclaim deed by the ~ity to Southwest Texas State College, on third and final reading. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Damon, Flores, Kor.ff, Pool, Serur, Whittenberg NAY: None The Ma~or declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.
