<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN ~~RCOS, TEXAS ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A
<br />CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING APPROX-
<br />IMATELY 66 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED WITH-
<br />IN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID
<br />CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUND-
<br />ARIES; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID
<br />CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO
<br />THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS
<br />AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY;
<br />BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS
<br />AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID
<br />CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />provided an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard
<br />at a public hearing on April 13, 1981 on the annexation by the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas of approximately 66 acres, more or
<br />less, out of the J.M. Veramendi League No.2, and being more
<br />particularly described by metes and bounds as follows to-wit:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at a concrete monument at the South corner
<br />of that 60 acre tract of land shown as Lot 8, in a
<br />partition by Shadrach Dixon, and recorded in Volume
<br />E, Page 349, Hays County Deed Records, same being a
<br />re-entraat corner of the said existing City Limits,
<br />for the South corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the said existing City Limits, the South-
<br />west line of the said Lot 8, N 44° 52' W, 694.77 feet
<br />to a concrete monument at the East corner of that tract
<br />of land conveyed to Bluebonnet Blanket Mills, now Boll-
<br />man Industries, by Guy Mann, Trustee, by deed dated
<br />June 1, 1946, and recorded in Volume 136, Page 135, Hays
<br />County Deed Records, same being a re-entrant corner of
<br />the said existing City Limits, for a Westerly corner
<br />of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said Bluebonnet Blanket Mills tract,
<br />in a Northeasterly direction with the said existing City
<br />Limits, approximately 200 feet, more or less, to an East
<br />corner of the said existing City Limits, for are-entrant
<br />corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction with a Northeast
<br />line of the said existing City Limits, crossing the
<br />Missouri-Pacific Railroad, passing the Southeast line
<br />of that 0.82 acre tract conveyed to Humble Oil and Re-
<br />fining Company by James W. Gary by deed dated January
<br />1, 1929, and recorded in Volume 97, Page 454, Hays
<br />County Deed Records, passing the Northwest line of the
<br />said Humble Oil and Refining Company 0.82 acre tract,
<br />the Southeast line of the Austin-San Antonio Post Road
<br />crossing the said Road, and continuing on to a North
<br />corner of the said existing City Limits, for the most
<br />Westerly corner of the tract herein described, same
<br />being on the Northwest line of the said Austin-San Antonio
<br />Post Road;
<br />
<br />THENCE, leaving the said existing City Limits, in a
<br />Northeasterly direction with the Northwest line of the
<br />said Austin-San Antonio Post Road, to the most North-
<br />erly corner of the tract herein described, same being
<br />at the intersection of the Northwest line of the said
<br />Austin-San Antonio Post Road with the projection of
<br />the Northeast line of the aforementioned Lot 8 of the
<br />said Shadrach Partition;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 45° 01' E, with the projection of and the
<br />Northeast line of the said Lot 8, crossing the said
<br />Austin-San Antonio Post Road, passing a concrete mon-
<br />ument on the Southeast line of the said Austin-San
<br />Antonio Post Road, passing a concrete monument on the
<br />Northwest line of the aforementioned Missouri-Pacific
