<br />Railroad, passing a conrete monument on the Southeast
<br />line of the said Railroad, and continuing on to a re-
<br />enErant corner of the tract herein described, same
<br />being the West corner of that 12.59 acre tract of land
<br />conveyed to L.B. McClanahan by L.A. Fritts by deed
<br />dated July 3, 1944, and recorded in Volume 130, Page
<br />263, Hays County Deed Records;
<br />
<br />THENCE, Leaving the said Lot 8, with the Northwest
<br />line of the said McClanahan 12.59 acre tract, the follow-
<br />ing courses numbered (1) and (2):
<br />(1) N 44° 32' E, 454.63 feet to a concrete
<br />monument;
<br />(2) N 32° 36' E, 273.21 feet to an iron stakè
<br />at the North corner of thé said McClanahan 12.59
<br />acre tract, for a North corner of the tract herein
<br />descríbed;
<br />
<br />THENCE, S 49° 04' E, 786.17 feet to a oonareté. monument
<br />at the East c'orner of the said McClanahan 12.59 acre
<br />tract, for the most Easterly corner of the tract herein
<br />described, same being on a Northwest line of the afore-
<br />mentioned existing City Limits;
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the Northwest line of the said existing
<br />City Limits, the following courses numbered (3) and (4):
<br />(3) S 45° 52' W, 777.3 feet to an iron stake at
<br />the South corner of the said McClanahan 12.59
<br />acre tract, the East corner of the aforementioned
<br />Lot 8 of the saidShadrach Partition;
<br />(4) l,eaving the said McC1ana-han 12.59 acre tract,
<br />S 45° 46' W, 1316.55 feet to the POINT OR BEGINNING
<br />containing 66 acres of land, more or less¡ and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was published in the
<br />San Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general circulation
<br />in said city and in the territory proposed to be annexed, on
<br />March 29, 1981, a date not more than twenty (20) days nor less
<br />than ten (10) days prior to said public hearing; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said approximately 66 acres, more or less, are
<br />located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas and not within the extraterritorial jurisdic-
<br />tion of any other city; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said approximately 66 acres, more or less, are
<br />contiguous and adjacent to the current boundaries of the City of
<br />San Marcos, Texas; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~1ARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That the following described property, approximately
<br />66 acres, more or less, adjoining the existing,city limits of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, out of the J.M. Veramendi League No.2,
<br />to-wit:

<br />BEGINNING at a concret.e. monument at the South corner
<br />of that 60 acre tract of lahd shown as Lot 8, in a
<br />partition by Shadrach Dixon, and recorded in Volume
<br />E, Page 349, Hays County Deed Records, same beiJng a
<br />re-entrant corner of the said existing City Limits,
<br />for the South corner of the tract herein described;
<br />
<br />THENCE, with the said existing City Limits, the South-
<br />west line of the said Lot 8, N 44° 52' W. 694.77 feet
<br />to a can~e monument at the E~st corner of that tract
<br />of land conveyed to Bluebonnet Blanket Mills, now Boll-
<br />man Industries, by Guy Mann, Trustee, by deed dated June
<br />1, 1946, and recorded in Volume 136, Page ¡35, Hays
<br />County Deed Records, same being a re-entrant corner of
<br />the said existing City Limits, for a Westerly corner of
<br />the tract herein described;
