For a valuation over One Million Dollars <br />($1,000,000.00), the fee shall be $757.50 for the first million <br />plus 15~ for each additional thousand or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(b) Moving of Building or Structures. <br /> <br />For the moving of any building or structure, the <br />fee shall be $10.00. An extra charge may be made when an escort <br />through the city is provided. <br /> <br />(c) Demolition of building or structure. <br /> <br />For the demolition of any building or structure, the <br />fee shall be $4.00. <br /> <br />Section 5. The public welfare, health and safety being <br />presently endangered due to the fact that the existing ordinances <br />of the City of San Marcos do not afford an adequate and comprehen- <br />sive code governing the construction, alteration, removal, demoli- <br />tion, equipment, use and occupancy, and maintenance of buildings <br />and structures within the corporate limits of the City of San <br />Marcos, therefore, an emergency exists, requiring the provisions <br />of the Charter of the City of San Marcos that ordinarily require <br />ordinances to be read on three several days and that no ordinance <br />shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days <br />following the date of its final passage, be dispensed with; thus, <br />this ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by <br />this body and its publication in a newspaper of general circula- <br />tion within the City of San Marcos.
