<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />9' <br /> <br />It is to be understood that these requirements <br />are minimums and are not to construed as sufficient <br />for larger structures or for unusual site or soil <br />conditions. If solid rock is encountered during <br />required excavation for beams and footings, then, <br />under certain conditions, required thickness of <br />beams may be altered by written consent of the <br />Building Official. All other foundations for build~ <br />ings hereafter constructed within the limits of the <br />City of San Marcos shall conform to applicable sec- <br />tions of this code. When steel is in place there shall <br />be an inspection made by the City of San Marcos Build- <br />ing Inspector and a tag affixed stating that the above <br />requirements have been complied with and showing the <br />date of inspection. <br /> <br />(3) Section 106.2 of said Code is amended so that it will <br />now read as follows: It shall be the duty of every contractor or <br />builder, who shall make contracts for the erection or construction <br />or repair of buildings for which a permit is required, and every <br />contractor or builder making such contracts and subletting the <br />same, or any part thereof, to pay a license fee of Ten Dollars <br />($10.00), and to register his name in a book provided for that <br />purpose, with the Building Official, giving full name, residence <br />and place of business, and, in case of removat from one place to <br />another to have made corresponding change in said register according- <br />ly; and it shall be the further duty of every such person to give <br />good anfsufficient bond in the sum of One Thousand Dollars <br />($1,000.00), to be approved by the Building Official, conditioned <br />to conform to the building regulations, the regulations of this <br />section, and other ordinances of the City Council in reference <br />to buildings. <br /> <br />(4) Section 107.4 of said Code is amended so that it will <br />now read in full as follows: On all buildings, structures or <br />al terations requiring a building permit, as set forth in Section <br />105, a fee shall be paid as required at the time of filing applica- <br />tion, in accordance with the following schedule: <br /> <br />(a) Permit Fees. <br /> <br />1. w,here the valuation does not exeeed One Hundred <br />Dollars ($100.00), no fee shall be required, unless an inspection <br />is necessary, in which case there shall be a fee of $1.50. <br /> <br />2. For a valuation over One Hundred Dollars up to <br />and including Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00), the fee shall <br />be $2.00 per thousand or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />3. For a valuation over Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15,000.00) up to and including One Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($100,000.00), the fee shall be $30.00 for the first fifteen <br />thousand plus $1.50 for each additional thousand or fraction there- <br />of. <br /> <br />4. For a valuation over One Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($100,000.00) up to and including Five Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($500,000.00), the fee shall be $157.50 for the firsLone hundred <br />thousand plus $1.00 for each additional thousand or fraction there- <br />of. <br /> <br />5. For a valuation over Five Hundred Thousand Dollars <br />($500,000.00) up to and including One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00), <br />the fee shall be $557.50 for the first five hundred thousand plus <br /> <br />-3- <br />
