<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />the occupancy of a building or structure or portion thereof, or <br />of the premises, orto prevent an illegal act, conduct, business <br />or use in or about any premises.- <br /> <br />(2) Section 1603 of said Code is amended so that a new <br />subsection is added thereto as follows: <br /> <br />(c) Minimum requirements for a single story <br />wood frame residence containing less than 600 <br />square feet of habitable area shall be as follows: <br />Outside concrete beams 12" wide 18" in depth with <br />two #4 bars top and bottom, stirrups every 6 ft; <br />slab shall be minimum 3 5/8" thick with 1t3 bars 18" <br />on center both ways or 6x6x6 wire mesh; there <br />shall be a cross beam of area if slab is pver <br />400 square feet; cross beam to be 12" x 12" with <br />two #4 bars top and bottom with stirrups every 6 <br />feet; top of concrete slab shall be a minimum 6" <br />above finished grade of yard. The minimum require- <br />ments for a single story wood frame residence con- <br />taining more than 600 sq. ft. in habitable area <br />shall be as follows: Outside concrete beams <br />shall be minimum 12" wide and 24" in depth, with <br />two lt4 bars top and bottom, and stirrups every 6 <br />ft.; the slab shall be a minimum of 3 5/8" thick <br />with 1t3 bars 18" on center both ways or 6x6x6 wire <br />mesh; cross beams shall be placed dividing slab <br />area into min. of 400 sq. ft. areas; cross beams <br />shall be 12" wide by 12" deep with two 1f4 bars top <br />and bottom of beam, and sti~rups every 6 feet; <br />top of concrete slab shall be minimum 6" above <br />finished grade of yard; and if brick, stone or other <br />masonry veener is placed on residence, add additional <br />#4 bar top and bottom of outside beams. The minimum <br />requirements for a single story wood frame residence <br />eontaining more than 400 sq. ft. on concrete beam <br />or beams and piers, shall conform to the following <br />requirements: Piers shall be monolithic poured with <br />concrete Dooting 24" sq. by 8" thick; piers shall <br />be 12" in height 8" round or square with cne #3 bar <br />in center of pier imbedded 3" in footing and extend- <br />ing 8" above top of pier or 2" above Sill; piers <br />shall be placed so that no span shall be more than <br />8 ft. 6" between them; and precast concrete pads <br />and block footings will not be allowed on residence <br />over 400 sq. ft. in area. All concrete shall be <br />minimum 4 sack mix with no more than 5" slump at <br />time of pouring. There shall be no horizontal con- <br />struction joints in minimum required beam and slab. <br />Slab shall he poured on compacted fill material. <br />There shall be a vapor barrier over fill or add <br />mix to concrete in order to prevent slab sweating. <br />Place all steel a minimum I!:!" frp1!l tpp bottom <br />and sides of beams. Place slab steel in lower <br />section of slab minimum l~" from bottom. Steel <br />shall be placed on chairs or blocks. Blocks shall <br />be removed as concrete is poured. Where steel is <br />spliced lap 12", lap and tie steel at corne:tS . <br />Lap slab steel across beam steel. All beam trenches <br />shall be free of dirt and debris at time of pour. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
