regular meeting, april 22, 1968

page three

I

Councilman Dannelley brought before the Council the need
to take action to curb vandalism of street lights. He
proposed that the Council offer a reward for information
leading to the arrest of those responsible for the vandal-
ism. The Mayor agreed that action should be taken, and
suggested that a reward of $250 be offered. After dis-
cussion of the problem, Mr. Dannelley moved that the City
Manager be requested to prepare a resolution offering a
$250 reward for information leading to the apprehension
of persons guilty of destroying street lights. Mr. Zavesky
seconded the motion and on roll call the following vote was
recorded:

AYE:
NAY:

Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky
tlone

The Mayor declared the motion carried.

The City Manager reported that City surplus funds had been
invested in U.S. Treasury Notes.

Dr. Pool introduced for further discussion a highway loop
from Interstate 35 to Ranch Road 12, recalling that it had
been proposed some two years ago, He stated it should be
further pursued. The City Manager said that City, County
and State would be involved in such a loop. The Mayor asked
the City Manager to check with Highway Engineers Tom Wood
and Jim Owens about the degree of participation of the three
governmental agencies.

I

The meeting adjourned at

;;;:;;~~~

- Ellis Serur

Mayor ~
~;tll"~

Councilman

~~i:~-

Councilman

cQA,TTES~: (;) ~ ~,'i
r~\ JO K~);.'
