Reed, <br />Kenneth Compton, Lanny Cravey <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Minutes of the August 12, 1968 Minutes were approved as presented, <br />on motion of Councilman Zavesky and second of Councilman Pool. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager presented the proposed 1968-1969 Budget, copies <br />of which had been previously distributed to Councilmen. Dr. Pool <br />moved that the Public Hearing on the Budget be set for the regular <br />meeting, September 9. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. Mr. Zavesky commended Mrs. Kreczmer and <br />Mr. Reed for their assistance on the budget. <br /> <br />The Mayor introd0ced an ordinance setting a public hearing on the <br />proposed annexation of 10.947 acres of land out of T.J. Chambers <br />Survey #2. Councilman Dannelley moved adoption of the Ordinance <br />as an emergency, publication of notice to be August 29, and the <br />hearing date, September 9. Councilman Zavesky seconded the motion <br />and on roll ca.lLthefollowing vote was recorded: . <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />George Reed, Tax Assessor-Collector, came before the Council <br />to ask authorization for the City Attorney to prepare quit-claim <br />deeds for reclaimed property. He explained that there were un- <br />usual circumstances surrounding foreclosures on Lot 18, Blk. 10, <br />C.D. Wallace Addn.; and the East Part of Lot "0" andSouth Part of <br />Lot "P", Riverside Addn . Mr. Reed stated that all penalties, <br />interest and costs had been paid to satisfy delinquent taxes owed <br />City, County and School. Dr. Pool moved approval of a Resolution <br />authorizingth~ City Attorney to prepare, and the M~yor to execute <br />quit-claim d~eds on the referenced properties. Counilman Dannelley <br />seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from the Texas State Department <br />of Health reminding the Council that the term of the City Health <br />Officer expires Sept. 8, 1968. The Mayor asked approval of the <br />
