I / REGULAR MEETING OF TKE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 26, 1968 Present: Mayor EllisSerur I Councilmen: Ronald J. Dannelley Luciano H.Flores William C. Pool, Ph.D. Hollis W. Reed, Kenneth Compton, Lanny Cravey The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Minutes of the August 12, 1968 Minutes were approved as presented, on motion of Councilman Zavesky and second of Councilman Pool. I The City Manager presented the proposed 1968-1969 Budget, copies of which had been previously distributed to Councilmen. Dr. Pool moved that the Public Hearing on the Budget be set for the regular meeting, September 9. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Zavesky commended Mrs. Kreczmer and Mr. Reed for their assistance on the budget. The Mayor introd0ced an ordinance setting a public hearing on the proposed annexation of 10.947 acres of land out of T.J. Chambers Survey #2. Councilman Dannelley moved adoption of the Ordinance as an emergency, publication of notice to be August 29, and the hearing date, September 9. Councilman Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll ca.lLthefollowing vote was recorded: . AYE: NAY: Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. I George Reed, Tax Assessor-Collector, came before the Council to ask authorization for the City Attorney to prepare quit-claim deeds for reclaimed property. He explained that there were un- usual circumstances surrounding foreclosures on Lot 18, Blk. 10, C.D. Wallace Addn.; and the East Part of Lot "0" andSouth Part of Lot "P", Riverside Addn . Mr. Reed stated that all penalties, interest and costs had been paid to satisfy delinquent taxes owed City, County and School. Dr. Pool moved approval of a Resolution authorizingth~ City Attorney to prepare, and the M~yor to execute quit-claim d~eds on the referenced properties. Counilman Dannelley seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. The Mayor read aloud a letter from the Texas State Department of Health reminding the Council that the term of the City Health Officer expires Sept. 8, 1968. The Mayor asked approval of the
