D. Adcock, see attached. In
the discussion which followed, it was the feeling of the Commission that "spot
annexation" was poor planning, and that the City should annex all that property "Aid
bounded by Feldmont St., to Marleton St., Hood St., and Advance St. As may be
seen by the plat attached, this would include the Adcock property. On the basis
of the discussion, on motion of Mr. J. E. Younger, Jr. and second of Mr. David
Pool, it was voted unanimously to deny the petition from Mr. Adcock. The Com-
mission further recommends that this property should, after annexation, be re-
zoned "R-2" (Duplex).

A second request for annexation was received from Herbert E. Karren of San Marcos
Properties (see attached) on two (2) tracts of land on Lamar Street. After due
discussion by the Commission, Mr. Younger made a motion that the Commission ap-
prove this request for annexation, provided that sufficient land off the Lamar
Street side be dedicated to widen the street. This motion was seconded by Dr. Hin-
ton, and approved by the Commission.

I' fi.: \\
t'"

.

Your consideration in this matter is appreciated.
