He stressed that members of Bridgebuilders were aware that this year's budget did not incaude this program, but it could be started with a minimum of financing. The Mayor appointed Dr. Pool to work with the City Manager to make cost esti- mates and report back to the Council. The Mayor introduced an ordinance annexing the north side of Holland Street. The Ordinance, which was read in full, is attachSd as a part of the Minutes. Dr. Craddock moved that the ~rdinance Annexing the North Side of Holland Street be adopted on one reading, as an emergency. Dr. Pool seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: NAY; Craddock, Dannelley, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None The Mayor declared the Ordinan~e Passed, Approved and Adopted. The Mayor read a petition trom the American Lutheran Church requesting ahnexation of property on Hilland Street. A letter from the President of the Congregation of the Church stated the City would be given the necessary ease- ment for widening Holland Street. Dr. Pool moved favor- able action on the petition. Mr. Smith seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. An ordinance annexing 1.499 acres of land on Lamar Street was introduced for second reading. Dr. Pool moved adopt- ion of the ordinance on second reading, by caption. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: NAY: Craddock, Oannelley, Pool, Ser~r, Smith,Zavesky None The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on second reading.
