AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, INTO SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY I WHEREAS, THE OWNERS OF A STRIP OF LAND, said strip of land not exceeding one-half (t) mile in width. being contiguous and adjacent to the present City Limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, have abandoned said strip to the City of San Marcos; and, WHEREAS, a certified copy of the Minutes of a regular meeting of the Commissioners Court of Hays County recording that body's abandonment of said strip of land to the City of San Marcos is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all pertinent purposes; and, WHEREAS, it will be of signal advantage to the City of San Marcos to anneX said strip of land within its municipal limits: NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, that the said strip of land be, and the same is hereby received as a part of the City of San Marcos, and the corporate limits of said City are hereby extended so as to include said strip of land, and from henceforth the territory so received and annexed shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City, in accord- ance with law. I SAID STRIP OF LAND is described as; That portion of Holland Street lying in between Ranch Road 12 and Lyndon B. Johnson Drive not h~r~tofon~cabandoned to the City of San Marcos, Texas, namely, the North one-half (t) of said Holland Street from Ranch Road 12 to Lyndon B. Johnson Drive.
