<br />( 1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE AGREEMENT <br />DATED FEBRUARY 10, 1969 BETWEEN THE <br />STATE OF TEXAS AND THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR THE MAINTENANCE, <br />CONTROL, SUPERVISION AND REGULATION OF <br />CERTAIN STATE HIGHWAYS AND/OR PORTIONS <br />OF STATE HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE <br />EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT: AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SEcn ON 1. <br /> <br />That the certain agreement dated <br /> <br />February 10, 1969 between the State of Texas and the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, for the maintenance, control, <br /> <br />supervislon and regulation of certain State Highways <br /> <br />and/or portions of State Highways located in the City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, Texas, be, and the same is, hereby approved; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said <br /> <br />agreement on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br /> <br />and to transmit the same to the State of Texas for <br /> <br />appropriate action. <br /> <br />SEcn ON 2. <br /> <br />The fact that the work contemplated under <br /> <br />the above mentioned agreement is needed, creates an <br /> <br />emergency which for the immediate preservation of the <br /> <br />public peace, health and safety and general welfare <br /> <br />requires that the Ordinance take effect immediately <br /> <br />from and after its passage and it is accordingly ordained. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PASSED the 10th day of February, 1969. <br />.-;::;?'
