<br />61 <br /> <br />expiration of the prescribed redemption period and prior to the <br />destruction of any such animal under the provisions hereof, the <br />City of San Marcos may sell any such animal so impounded to the <br />first person tendering to the City the pound fees and license fees <br />provided for in this ordinance. <br /> <br />III. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />That, except as hereby amended, said ordinance of June 26, 1962, <br />shall otherwise remain unchanged. <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />The public welfare, health and safety being presently endangered <br />due to the fact that the existing ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br />do not provide for tbe impounding, redemption, selling and disposing <br />of cattle, borses, jacks, jennets, sbeep, goats and otber like <br />animals; tberefore, an emergency exists, requiring that the pro- <br />visions of tbe Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, wbicb re- <br />quire, in ordinary situations, that ordinances be read on three <br />several days and that no ordinance shall become effective until tbe <br />expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage, <br />be dispensed with.
