Mr. Zavesky seconded <br />the motion andpn roll call~ the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, <br />Smith, Zavesky <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed. Approved <br />and Adopted, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The ,City Manager explained the various points in a <br />new Maintenance Agreement with the City of San, Marcos <br />submitted by the Texas Highway Department. It was <br />discussed by the Council. Dr. Pool moved authorization <br />for the Mayor ~o sign the new Maintenance Agreement with <br />the Highway Department. Mr. Smith seconded the motion <br />and on roll call, the following v'ote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, <br />Smith, Zavesky <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motio~, carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Dannelley moved acceptance of the Urban <br />Renewal Agency Audit Report. Or. Craddock seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Smith reported that the Council's committee <br />and the Chamber of Commerce traffic committee had <br />reviewed the Klapproth Traffic Survey of downtown <br />San Marcos. Mr. Smith said Mr. Klapproth had made <br />an outstanding survey and that it had been well <br />received by the combined committees. He announced <br />a second meeting of the committees with Mr. Klapproth <br />was scheduled ~or February 19. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor reminded the Council that the City's Planner, <br />Ralph Ellifrit, would make another of his series of <br />presentations on the Comprehensive Community Plan at <br />5:00 p.m., February 12. On February 13, Lockwood, <br />Andrews & Newnam engineers were scheduled to present <br />the Water & Sewer Improvement Plan for San Marcos. <br /> <br />The City Manager stated two letters had been received <br />from the Planning & Zoning ,Commissions recommending <br />that certain properties be annexed. Mr. Bean asked <br />that he be permitted to make a utility study of the <br />proposed areas before Council action. The Council <br />gave common consent. <br /> <br />The City Manager presented a tabulation of bids on <br />vehicles received on February 3, see ~ttached copy <br />with low bids marked in red. Dr. Craddock moved <br />that purchase of vehicles be made on the basis of <br />low, bid. Mr" DannelJ:ey se'condedthe motion, which <br />passed un~nimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager asked authorization to try out a <br />teletype system for the Police Department. The <br />San Marcos Telephone Co. would provide the service <br />at an approximate cost of $90 per month. Mr. Bean <br />
