<br />regular meeting, february 10, 1969 <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />Dr. Pool moved adoption of "Order Establishing <br />Procedure for City Officers Election", a copy of <br />which is made a part of the Minutes. Councilman <br />Dannelley seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br />'mously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration the Order for <br />City Officers Election, April 1, 1969". Discussion <br />ensued and certain suggestions Were made for selection <br />of Presiding Judges, and Alternates for the coming <br />election. It was agreed to appoint the Judges and <br />Alternates at the February 24 meeting. Dr. Pool moved <br />adoption of the Order for Election, with necessary <br />alterations in Presiding Judges and Alternates being <br />made before ~osting and publication of the Order. <br />Dr. Creddock seconded the motion, ~hich passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager introduced for consideration an ordinance <br />amending the Zoning Ordinance, caption of which is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMEND1NG THE ORDINANCE WHICH <br />REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND <br />USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND <br />(SAID ORDINANCE BEING GENERALLY KNOWN AS <br />"ZONING ORDINANCE" AND HAVING BEEN PASSED, <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THE 23RD DAY OF <br />MAY, 1966), B~ THE ADDITION OFA DEFINITION <br />OF A "TRAILER HOUSE" TO SECTION 4 OF SAID <br />ORDINANCE; BY THE ADDITION OF A PROHIBITION <br />AGAINST BACKING VEHICLES ACROSS SIDEWALKS <br />OR INTO PUBLIC STREETS, TO SECTION 16; OF <br />SAIO ORDINANCE; AND BY THE ADDITION OF A <br />NEW SECTION, TO BE DESIGNATED SECTION 15;1, <br />TO CONTROL THE TEMPORARY USE OF LAND BY <br />"TRAILER HOUSES"; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY;AND <br />PROVIDING FOR LEGAL PUBLICATION HEREOF <br /> <br />Mr. Flores enquired whether mobile homes were on the tax <br />rolls, and commented that, with the proposed oedinance in <br />effect~ a man could put a mobile home on a lot aNd escape <br />taxation for two years.
