Mr. Flores asked the City Manager if there were a possibility that trailers could be taxed. Mr. Bean answered in the affirmative. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: ~AY: Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None I The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. An ordinance annexing 37.8 acres of property northwest of Lyndon B. Johnson Drive was presented the Council for. consideration. Caption is as follows: AN OROINANCE SETTING A DATE AND PLACE .FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH HEARING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY A plat of the area was provided for study. The annex- ation had been proposed by the Planning & Zoning Com. Mr. Dannelley moved that the area be annexed, exclud- ing the last two lots on Lamar. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion. David Pool, members of the Planning & Zoning ~ommission, protested, changing the Brea recommended. He said the Planni,ng & Zoning Commission had made a thorough study before recommending the annex- I ation. A discussion on the two viewpoints ensued. Mr. Dannelley withdrew his motion, with <::onsentof the seconde~, and moved. that the annexation proposal be r"turn.edto Planning & Zoning for study on annexation of both sides of Lamar Street. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll ca~l,the following vote w~s recorded: AYE: NAY: Dannelley, Flores, Serur, Zavesky Pool, .Smith. The Mayor declared the motion. carried. Dr. Pool moved that a change of zoning on part of Lot 9 of Rogers Subdivision #1 ,from "R~l" to "C" {Commercial} be approved. Mr, Flores seconded the motion. It was explained that the property-owner, Mil ton B. Rogers, had applied for ,the change; t.he public hearing was held by Planning & Zoning Com- mission, and no protest was voiced. The Council unanimously approved the change of zoning. Dr. David R.
