There was further <br />discussion on the Lamar Street .property. It was brought <br />out that the Kyle property is within the 47.3-acre tract <br />which the Council proposes to annex after the public <br />hearing, March 27. It was agreed by common consent that <br />the City Manager should request the Planner, Ralph S. <br />Ellifrit, to come to San Marcos for a meeting with the <br />City Council, in order to arrive at a final decision <br />on the rezoning of the 2.9-acre tract on Lamar Street. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter ~rom Mrs. Edra Allbright, <br />Co-chairman of the Parks {1 Recreation Board, in .reference <br />to use of City Park land for carnivals, see attached. <br />Councilman Smith moved that the Parks {1 Recreation <br />Board recommendation be accepted, and that park lands <br />not be used for carnivals, circuses, or any similar <br />type of project. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion, <br />and on roll call, 'the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />ANY: <br /> <br />Craddo~k, Dannilley, Serur, Pool, Smith, Zavesky <br />Flores <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The City Mariager .reported a letter had been received <br />from Rodger Zimmerman, attorney for Hamilton Brothers, <br />in reference to a re.quest for rezoning which had been <br />denied, see attached. Mr. Bean said he had referred <br />the letter to City Attorney Walker, who had recommend- <br />ed that, inasmuch as the Council had already acted on <br />the request, Mr. Zimmerman be advised that his clients <br />would have to re-apply for the change of zoning through <br />regular channels. Dr..
