c) Hold two (2) utility meetings with utilities:
i) Conduct a utility kickoff meeting, to occur at the 30% submission. At this
meeting the Engineer will inform utility providers of the Project and what impact
the Project may have on the utility lines; and
ii) Conduct a second meeting at the 60% submission. At this meeting the Engineer
will provide a set of the current plans to each utility company that has a conflict
with the proposed improvements. The Engineer will provide the estimate schedule
for construction and relocation.
d) Coordinate with each utility at the 100% submission milestone and verify that the
proposed relocations will be completed prior to construction.
1.2.9 Perform a topographic survey using the City's coordinate system and tie to City's
existing right-of--way plats and surveys to include:
a) Horizontal and Vertical Control Survey: Using control provided by the City, tie to
and verify the existing survey control and expand as needed throughout this Project.
Determine vertical checks utilizing trig procedures. If the Project control provided
does not meet acceptable professional tolerance, the Engineer will notify the City
immediately; and
b) Boundary and Right-of--way ("ROW") Surveys: Locate/determine the existing ROW
for LBJ Drive within the Project limits. Recover existing monumentation
(monuments, iron rods, etc.) marking the existing ROW lines and the front boundary
corners and tie to the Project control. The Engineer will show this information as a
single base map for the Project, showing the existing ROW lines, street names,
approximate property sidelines based upon record information, names of adjoining
owners (based on current tax information) and recording information for deed and/or
subdivisions.
c) Design Survey:
i) Obtain cross-sections at 50' intervals and major grade breaks within the Project
limits. These sections will typically include spot elevations as follows: centerline
of pavement, edge of pavement (gutter & top of curb), sidewalk, and digital
terrain model (DTM) up to the ROW line. Additionally the Engineer will include
locations and elevations for visible improvements including fences, guardrails,
signs, visible utilities and utility markers, mailboxes, driveways (to ROW limits)
and side streets (to 100' from the center of LBJ), culverts and drainage structures
noting line types and sizes where possible. For "wet" utilities the Engineer will
obtain rim and flow line elevations;
ii) Field survey personnel (as differentiated from a qualified arborist) will tag and
locate all hardwood trees 8" inch (diameter breast high) and greater within or 15'
foot beyond the existing ROW for LBJ Drive. The Engineer will provide a tree
list giving tag numbers, tree diameter and species (common name) in an ASCII
file and will be included in the DGN file; and
iii) Utilizing the final centerline baseline alignment provided by the City, establish
9
