Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, the Regular Meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Susan Narvaiz at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. April 6, 2010 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. Discussion with P1aceMakers LLC, on the form -base code, focusing on the downtown <br />study area and 2uidin6 principles of the charrette, and provide direction to staff. <br />Matthew Lewis, Assistant Director of Development Services, and Susan Henderson, with <br />P1aceMakers, updated the City Council on the charrette process and provided general feedback <br />from the community meetings. It was reported that the biggest issue is the possibility of <br />including some adjacent areas. They noted that so many historic properties are non - conforming <br />to the development code, and reported that the public asked to extend the area for the form -based <br />code to transition areas that may be better defined by the form -base code. <br />RM040610 Minutes Page 1 <br />
