The City Council provided direction to staff to include the transition neighborhoods in the study <br />and provide updated maps on Friday. <br />4. Executive Session <br />There was no need for an Executive Session. <br />5. The City Council took a short recess at 6:30 p.m. and reconvened at 7:00 p.m. <br />6. Invocation <br />Abe Jaquez, Texas State Baptist Campus Minister, will provide the invocation. <br />7. Pledge of Allegiance <br />Councilmember Jones led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />S. Citizen Comments <br />There were no Citizen Comments. <br />9. Staff Progress Reports <br />A. Integrity Assurance Hotline by Collette Jamison, Assistant City Manager. 0 <br />Assistant City Manager Collette Jamison reported on a new initiative that will allow employees <br />to bring to management's attention issues related to integrity and accountability. The Integrity <br />Assurance Hotline is anonymous and concerns can be reported to the service provider, <br />Lighthouse Services, via phone, fax or online. <br />B. Update on the Transportation Priorities Strategy by Laurie Mover, Assistant City <br />Manager. <br />Assistant City Manager Laurie Moyer provided the City Council with a Transportation Projects <br />Map and a planning evaluation matrix. Mike Weaver, with Prime Strategies, provided a <br />presentation on the Strategic Transportation Infrastructure Planning Process. The planning <br />process was initiated to address the need, timeframes and criteria across city departments. The <br />process will: 1) identify three - five critically needed near -term projects and implementation <br />strategies; 2) identify development and funding strategies for mid and long term projects; and 3) <br />package projects to maximize work effort and funding opportunities. He noted that traditional <br />funding sources are in transition. There may not be many funds, there are new programs. As <br />projects are defined, there may be a program. Workshops were held, and they expanded and <br />refined project evaluation criteria. They will continue the workshop process with staff and the <br />City Council and help to develop the implementation partnership and financing strategies. <br />l r - 7 <br />u <br />RM040610 Minutes Page 2 <br />
