<br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />II I I "~IIIILi, I 1\ <br /> <br />DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS <br />OF THE AUTHORITY OF RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />Resident Project Representative is Engineer's Agent and will <br />act as directed by and under the supervision of Engineer. He <br />will confer,with Engineer regarding his actions. His dealings <br />with matters pertaining to the on-site Work shall in general <br />be only with Engineer and Contractor. His dealings with sub- <br />contractors shall only be through or with the full knowledge <br />of Contractor or his superintendent, He will generally com- <br />municate ~lith Owner only through or as directed by Engineer. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />Resident Project Representative wil;: <br /> <br />1. Schedules: Review the progress schedule, schedule of Shop <br />Drawings submissions and schedule of values prepared by <br />Contractor and consult with Engineer concerning their ac- <br />ceptabil i ty. <br /> <br />2, Conferences: Attend preconstructionconferences. Arrange <br />a schedule of progress meetings and other job conferences <br />as required in consultation with Engineer and notify those <br />expected to attend in advance. Attend meetings, and main- <br />tain and circulate copies of minutes thereof. <br /> <br />3. Liaison: <br /> <br />a, Serve as Engineer's liaison with Contractor, working <br />principally through Contractor's superintendent and <br />assist him in understanding the intent of the Contract <br />Documents. Assist Engineer in serving as Owner's <br />liaison with Contractor when Contractor's operations <br />effect Owner's on-site operations, <br /> <br />b, As requested by Engineer, assist in obtaining from <br />Owner additional details or information, when required <br />at the,job site for proper execution of the Work, <br /> <br />A-l <br />
