The OWNER acknowledges additional printing costs may be <br />required by the OWNER over and above the stated basic number of <br /> <br />plans and specifications and to bear all costs incidental to compliance <br /> <br />with the requirements of,this section. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION V - PAYMENTS TO THE ENGINEER <br /> <br />The OWNER agrees to pay the ENGINEER for the services rendered <br /> <br />in the following manner: <br /> <br />BASIC SERVICES - The basic services shall be paid for on the <br /> <br />basis of a percentage of construction cost of the project. The <br /> <br />percentage will be taken from the Standard TSPE-ASCE 1971 Curve <br />based on the lowest reliable acceptable bid. <br /> <br />1. For the purpose of preliminary engineering fee, the payment <br /> <br /> <br />will be based on an estimated cost approved by the OWNER to a 15 <br /> <br /> <br />percent of the engineering fee. <br /> <br />2. Upon taking bids and establishing a bona fide low bidder <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />for awarding contractural documents, the ENGINEER can submit 75 <br />percent of the engineering fee. <br />3. Upon completion of construction, the ENGINEER shall submit <br />the remaining statement of 10 percent of the engineering fee and upon <br /> <br />approval by the OWNER. <br />ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />Payment for additional services for assisting <br /> <br />and rendering professional engineering work as described in Section Ill, <br />and as the OWNER may direct, shall be paid on a monthly basis as the <br />work is performed and at the rates that follow: <br /> <br />Staff <br /> <br />$40.0Q <br />$35.00 <br />$15.0Q <br /> <br />Principal - S. Garza, P.E. <br />Registered Professional Engineers <br /> <br />Field Survey personnel <br />4-man crew <br />3-man crew <br /> <br />$45.00 <br />$40.00 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Residency Observation <br />Salary X 2.5 multiplier <br /> <br />SECTION VI - TERMINATION <br /> <br />OWNER shall have the right to terminate this tont~act!should <br />the engineering firm herein called the ENGINEER be disrupted before <br />the completion of this contract through t~e death, incapacity or <br />loss of key engineering personnel or for any reason so as to seriously <br />
