<br />I <br /> <br />46e <br /> <br />lot, to pay a perpetual care fee in connection with the purchase <br /> <br /> <br />of such lot. Such fee shall be in the amount established from <br /> <br /> <br />time to time by the City Council, which fee shall be used by the <br /> <br /> <br />City to take perpetual care as herein defined, of the lots for <br /> <br /> <br />which such fees are paid. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />B. DEFINITION OF PERPETUAL CARE. Perpetual care means the cutting <br /> <br /> <br />and watering of the grass at reasonable intervals; the raking and <br /> <br /> <br />cleaning of the lots; the general care and pruning of the trees and <br /> <br /> <br />shrubs that may be placed along the walks, roadways and boundaries; <br /> <br /> <br />meaning and intending the general preservation of the lots and the <br /> <br /> <br />grounds, walks, roadways, boundaries and structures to the end that <br /> <br /> <br />the grounds shall remain and be reasonably cared for as cemetery <br /> <br /> <br />grounds forever. Perpetual Care shall not include the maintenance, <br /> <br /> <br />repair or replacement of any grave stones, monuments or memorials; <br /> <br />nor the planting of flowers or ornamental plants; nor the maintenance I <br />or doing of any special or unusual work in the Cemetery; nor the <br />construction or reconstruction of any marble, granite, bronze or <br />concrete work on any lot where the same is damaged from any cause <br />whatsoever. Perpetual care shall, however, include the maintenance, <br /> <br />repair or replacement of the pUblic mausoleum. <br /> <br />8. LOTS NOT NOW UNDER PERPETUAL CARE. Any lot not now under <br />perpetual care may be placed under perpetual care upon payment of <br />the required fee. General care will be given lots which were <br />originally sold without perpetual care, in order that the general <br />beauty of the cemetery may be maintained. However, the City <br />assumes no responsibility to maintain these lots in perpetuity. <br />Whenever any lot needs attention, lots having perpetual care shall <br />in every case have preference. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />9. EXCEPTION TO PERPETUAL CARE REQUIREMENT. Section I of the <br /> <br /> <br />Dixon Addition is hereby set aside for persons not financially able <br /> <br /> <br />to provide for perpetual care or for children under two years of <br /> <br /> <br />age. Grave spaces shall be sold in regular order as shown on the <br /> <br /> <br />plat on file in the City Secretary's office. In the event, a <br /> <br /> <br />surviving spouse wishes to reserve burial space adjacent the <br /> <br /> <br />deceased spouse, one additional space may be purchased. Under no <br /> <br /> <br />other circumstance shall a specific burial space be reserved in <br />
