Recently, we have determined that our <br />existing rates do not provide a fair return on the adjusted <br />value of the invested capital in the City of San Marcos <br />and, therefore, that a rate revision is necessary. <br /> <br />Accordingly, Entex files this Statement of Intent with <br />attached Rate Schedule R-433-1, Rate Schedule SC-433-1 and <br />Rate Schedule SCAC-16, containing the proposed revisions i~ <br />our Schedules of Rates applicable in San Marcos. The changes <br />made by this filing are shown in italics on the rate schedules. <br />As you will note, the revision includes changes in each block <br />of the Net Monthly Rate and in the Minimum Monthly Bill, along <br />with certain adjustments to the small commercial air condition- <br />ing rate. In addition, a clause has been added permitting <br />annual adjustments for changes in the costs of service. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The effect of these new rate schedules is to increase <br />the Company's revenues by approximately $120,509 per year. <br />These increases affect residential and small commercial <br />customers. Entex serves approximately 2,893 customers <br />under the residential classification and approximately <br />502 customers under the small commercial classification. <br />Entex's Entex's total 1977 revenues for all of its Texas <br />divisions were $405,359,677.61 (as shown on p. 70 of its <br />
