<br />185a <br /> <br />TIlE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUN'IY OF HAYS <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />TIllS CONTRACl' AND AGREEMENT made <;md entered into on this the ~ day <br />of February , A.D., 1977, by and between the City of San Marcos, Texas, a <br />municipal corporation, acting by and through its duly authorized Mayor, hereinafter <br />called "City", and the Hays Nemorial Hospital, a corporation maintaining an office <br />and having a place of business in the City of San Marcos, Texas, acting by <br />and through its duly authorized President, hereinafter called "Contractor," <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />,That Contractor agrees as an independent contractor, at its own cost and expense, <br />to furnish ambulance service in the City of San I.larcos and the County of Hays <br />for persons who qualify for medical and hospital services in compliance with the <br />tenns, conditions, covenants and agreements hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1.. <br />AMBULANCE SERVICE REQUIREMENTS <br />Contractor covenants and agrees to furnish ambulance service as an independent <br />contractor for the purpose of providing ambulance service necessary to meet tJ,e <br />needs of the general public at all times. Such ambulance service shall be <br />rendered in compliance with the following general requirements': <br />A. Persormel: Each vehicle shall be manned by two (2) attendants and the <br />driver shall have a valid Texas Chauffer's License and a certificate issued by <br />the Texas State Board of Health in compliance with Section 3, Article 459b, Revised <br />Civil Statutes of Texas. <br />B. Equipment: Contractor shall furnish at its own e^~ense vehicles <br />and accessory equipment which meets the fo-lowing minimum standards in addition to <br />those fixed by all city, county, and state regulations covering automotive equipment, <br />ambulance and transfer vehi~le equipment: <br />Vehicles <br />a. ~; ambulances shall be of a type and design inspected and approved I <br />by the Chief of Police of San Marcos, Texas, as suitable for safely transporting <br />sick and injured persons. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />-1- <br />
