<br />1l6a <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CONTRACT FOR AUDIT SERVICES <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />That on this 29 day of August, A.D., 1977, the City of San <br />:1 Marcos, Hays County, Texas, a municipal corporation existing by <br />and under the laws of the State of Texas, hereinafter referred to <br />as "City", acting through its Mayor, Frank T. Arred9ndo, hereunto <br /> <br />duly authorized by resolution of the City Council of said City, <br />and Harold V.Simpsonand Company, hereinafter referred to as <br />"Audi tor", a fi rm doing business as certi fied pub Ii c accountants <br />I <br />in Austin, Texas, entered into this agreement for a regular annual <br />audi t and other additional accounting services to b,e proVided to <br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, during the fiscal year commencing <br />October 1, 1977 and ending September 30, 1978; the term of said <br />agreement being as follows: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />REGULAR ANNUAL AUDIT: Auditor agree.s to conduct a! regular annual <br />audit of the financial records of the City of San Marcos, including <br />the books and accounts of each and every department of the City for <br />the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977. <br /> <br />II. <br />COMPENSATION FOR REGULAR ANNUAL AUDIT: The City ~grees to compensate <br />the Auditor for said annual audit in an amount not to exceed Seven <br /> <br />Thousand Five Hundred and no/lOO dollars ($7,500.00), said amount <br />being billed on a pro-rata basis beginning after October 1, 1977 and <br />completed prior to December 31, 1977 with the final billing to <br />occur on receipt by the City of the final complet~ annual audit <br />document. <br /> <br />III. <br />l..: COORDINATION BETWEEN CITY AND AUDITOR DURING REGULAR ANNUAL AUDIT: <br />In order to facilitate the work of the Auditor and in order to ensure <br />I <br /> <br />minimum disruption of the normal performance of City business in all <br />
