1l6a THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HAYS I I CONTRACT FOR AUDIT SERVICES KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That on this 29 day of August, A.D., 1977, the City of San :1 Marcos, Hays County, Texas, a municipal corporation existing by and under the laws of the State of Texas, hereinafter referred to as "City", acting through its Mayor, Frank T. Arred9ndo, hereunto duly authorized by resolution of the City Council of said City, and Harold V.Simpsonand Company, hereinafter referred to as "Audi tor", a fi rm doing business as certi fied pub Ii c accountants I in Austin, Texas, entered into this agreement for a regular annual audi t and other additional accounting services to b,e proVided to the City of San Marcos, Texas, during the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1977 and ending September 30, 1978; the term of said agreement being as follows: I. I) REGULAR ANNUAL AUDIT: Auditor agree.s to conduct a! regular annual audit of the financial records of the City of San Marcos, including the books and accounts of each and every department of the City for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1977. II. COMPENSATION FOR REGULAR ANNUAL AUDIT: The City ~grees to compensate the Auditor for said annual audit in an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred and no/lOO dollars ($7,500.00), said amount being billed on a pro-rata basis beginning after October 1, 1977 and completed prior to December 31, 1977 with the final billing to occur on receipt by the City of the final complet~ annual audit document.
