NON - CONSENT AGENDA <br />26. Consider appointments to the following Boards and Commissions: • <br />A. Arts Commission <br />B. Housing Authority Board <br />Kevin Huffaker was appointed to the Arts Commission. <br />Brian Guenther was appointed to the Housing Authority Board. <br />27. Consider adoption of Zoning Ordinance 2010 -19, amending the official zoning map of <br />the City by rezoning a 0.53 acre, more or less, tract of land out of the John Scott Addition <br />located at 705 West Hopkins Street from "OP" Office Professional District to "NC" <br />Neighborhood Commercial District; and including procedural provisions <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Thomason, the City Council voted three (3) for and four (4) opposed, with <br />Councilmembers Terry, Thomaides, Jones and Bose voting against, to approve Ordinance 2010- <br />19, as previously captioned. The motion failed. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Bose, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, with <br />Councilmembers Terry, Jones, Thomason, Porterfield, and Mayor Narvaiz voting against, to <br />deny Ordinance 2010 -19, as previously captioned. The motion failed. • <br />28. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2010 -20, adopted May 4, 2010, amending the future land <br />use map from "VLDR" Very Low Density Residential to "MU" Mixed Use fora 07 acre, <br />more or less, tract of land out of the Thomas J. Chambers Survey Abstract No 2; <br />amending the official zoning map of the City by rezoning this tract from "FD" Future <br />Development District to "MU" Mixed Use District; and including procedural provisions <br />There was no reconsideration of this item. <br />29. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2010 -21, adopted May 4, 2010, amending the future land <br />use map from "VLDR" Very Low Density Residential to "MU" Mixed Use for a 10.65 acre, <br />more or less, tract of land out of the Thomas J. Chambers Survey Abstract No 2; and <br />including procedural provisions. <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced this item would be referred back to Planning and Zoning, along with <br />item number 8. <br />30. Reconsideration of Ordinance 2010 -22, adopted Mav 4, 2010, amending the future land <br />use map from "VLDR" Very Low Density Residential to "MDR" Medium Density <br />Residential for a 33.20 acre, more or less, tract of land out of the Thomas J Chambers <br />Survey Abstract No. 2; and including procedural provisions. • <br />RM051810 Minutes Page 10 <br />
