172-b <br />Section 21-26. POWERS AND DUTIES. <br />All duly certified and appointed members of the Department of Fire <br />Suppression under the authority of the City shall have all the powers <br />and duties conferred on local fire suppression personnel by the statutes <br />and cases made and provided by the State of Texas and by the ordinances <br />of the City. <br />Section 21-27 to Section 21-34 (Reserved). <br />ARTICLE V. LAW ENFORCEMENT DUTIES <br />Section 21-35• ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS. <br />Members of the Departments of Uniformed Patrol and Criminal Investi- <br />gation shall be diligent in enforcing within the City the laws of the <br />State of Texas, this Code and any other ordinances of the City, and for <br />such purposes are vested with the same authority and powers conferred <br />by Sections 21-36 and 21-16 of this Chapter. All members of the two <br />departments referenced in this section are declared to be peace officers, <br />within the purview of state law. <br />Section 21-36. ARREST WITHOUT WARRANT. <br />Members of the Departments of Uniformed Patrol and Criminal Investi- <br />l gation shall have the authority to make an arrest without warrant of <br />persons found under circumstances which reasonably show that such persons <br />have been guilty of some felonious act or breach of peace, or threaten, <br />or are about to commit some offense against the laws of this state or <br />city. <br />x, SECTION 3.
