Definition of. Terms. <br /> <br />For the purposes of this Ordinance, the following terms or words and <br />their derivations shall have the meaning ascr,ibed to them in this section. <br /> <br />(A ) City. The City 0 f San Marcos, Hays County, Texas. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(B) Commission. The Fair Housing Commission of the City of San Marcos, <br />Hays County, Texas. <br /> <br />(C) Dwelling. Any building, structure, or portion thereof which is <br />occupied as, or designated and intended for occupancy as a residence by one or <br />more families, and any vacant land which is offered for sale or lease for the <br />construction and location thereon of any such building, structure, or portion <br />thereof. <br /> <br />(D) Discriminatory Practice. An act that is unlawful under Sections 32-5, <br />32-6, and 32-1'. <br /> <br />(E) Injure. To violate the legal right of another or inflict an action- <br />able wrong. <br /> <br />(F) Intimidate~ Willfull coercion with the intent to influence the action <br />or inaction of another. <br /> <br />(G) Person. Any individual, corporation, partnership, association, labor <br />organization, legal representative, and any other organization or entity of what- <br />ever .~haracter. <br /> <br />(H) Rent. Includes to lease, to sublease, or otherwise to grant for con- I <br />sideration the right to occupy premises not owned by the occupant. . <br /> <br />ARTICLE II: SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> <br />Section 32-5.
