the City Manager to act as the official representative of the City in matters related to the <br />• CDBG Program and Action Plan and declaring an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Bose and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adopt Resolution 2010 -77R <br />(now amended to read 2010 -86R), as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />Consensus on the projects to be funded was as follows: <br />Southside Community Center (home-owned occupied rehab) $110,000 <br />Community Services -Parks (Durham Park) $173,320 <br />Development Services (First Time Homebuyers Program) $100,000 <br />Development Services (Program Administration) $ 98,000 <br />Community Action (Senior Center expansion) $ 46,000 <br />Community Action (Parking /Driveway improvements) $ 35,000 <br />SUBTOTAL $562,320 <br />Council then decided to add $10,861 to the First Time Homebuyers Program and $2,000 to <br />Program Administration for a total funding amount of $575,181. <br />26. Update on the I -35 Re- development Task Force, and provide direction to staff. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Porterfield and a second by <br />• Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to table this <br />item. The motion carried unanimously. <br />27. Question and answer session with press and public. <br />There were no questions from the press and public. <br />28. Executive Session <br />In accordance with the Texas Government Code §551.072- Deliberation Regarding Real <br />Property, §551.074- Personnel Matters and §551.087- Deliberation Regarding Economic <br />Development Matters, the San Marcos City Council convened into Executive Session at 10:36 <br />p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in order to discuss matters pertaining to: <br />A. Deliberation regarding land acquisition in the northwest quadrant of the City. <br />B. Duties and responsibilities of a public officer; to wit: City Manager, City Clerk, City <br />Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge. <br />C. Deliberation on offers of possible incentives to entities considering locating or expanding in <br />the San Marcos community. <br />29. The Executive Session adjourned at 12:03 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. No action was <br />• required from Executive Session. <br />RM060110 Minutes Page 9 <br />
