Single Family Residential District to "MU" Mixed Use District; and including procedural <br />provisions; and consider adoption of Zoning Ordinance 2010 -30. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 8:35 p.m. <br />There being no comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 8:36 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Bose, the City Council voted two (2) for and five (5) opposed, with Mayor <br />Narvaiz and Councilmembers Thomason, Porterfield, Terry and Jones voting against, to deny <br />Ordinance 2010 -30, as previously captioned. The motion failed. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Porterfield and a second by <br />Councilmember Terry, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, with <br />Councilmembers Thomaides and Bose voting against, to adopt Ordinance 2010 -30, amended to <br />reflect 10.65 acres. The motion carried. <br />NON - CONSENT AGENDA <br />22. Consider appointments to the following Boards and Commissions: <br />A. Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Travis Kelsey was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />23. Consider an ordinance amending the traffic register maintained under Section 82.067 <br />of the San Marcos City Code by amending the speed limit of a section of Wonder World <br />Drive (F.M. 3407) in both directions from F.M. 2439 (STA 185 +85.0) to a point west of the <br />R.M. 12 intersection (STA 19 +28.28); and including procedural provisions; and consider <br />ordinance on first of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the ordinance <br />on the first of two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />24. Consider an ordinance amending the City's 2009 -2010 budget to amend the personnel <br />roster for the San Marcos Fire Department by creating three fire fighter positions, three <br />engineer positions and three captain positions; and declaring an effective date; and <br />consider ordinance on first of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Porterfield, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the ordinance <br />on the first of two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />25.
