In parks <br />in which gasoline, fuel, 011 or otner tlammaole liquids are <br />storeo and/or dispensed, tneir handl1ng and storage shall <br />comply witn the City F1re codes. <br /> <br />l3) Access to Mobile Home tor Fire Fi htin Approaches <br />to all mooile omes shall be kept clear for fire f1ghting. <br /> <br />(4) F1re Fignting Instruction. The mob1le home park <br />owner or agent shall be responsible for the instruction of <br />staff in the use of the park fire protect10n equipment and <br />tneir speciric duties 1n the event of fire. <br /> <br />nis <br />in <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(~) Water Supply Facil1ties for F1re oepartment Operation. <br />Within two (2) years from the effective date of this Ordinance, <br />and continuously 'thereafter, the park owner shall provide <br />standard City of San Marcos fire hydrants located within five <br />hundred (500) feet of all mobile home spaces, measured along <br />the driveways or streets. Fire hydrants will be subject to <br />periodic inspection by the City Fire Department. It shall be <br />the responsibility of the park owner to notify the City that <br />the fire hydrants are in need of immediate repair; repairs shall <br />be made by the City in a satisfactory manner within twenty-four <br />(24) hours. Non-emergency repairs shall be made within five (5) <br />days. The park owner shall reimburse the City for expenses incurred <br />in repair of park owned fire hydrants. <br /> <br />(6) The mobile home park owner or agent shall provide an <br />adequate system of collection and safe disposal of rubbish, <br />approved by the Fire Chief and the City Health Officer. <br /> <br />(7) The mobile home park owner or agent shall be respon- <br />sible for maintaining the entire area of the park free of dry <br />brush, leaves and weeds. <br /> <br />F. Recreational Area. All mobile home parks shall have <br />a recreational area amounting to five per cent (5%) total area <br />of the park. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />G. Water Supply. An accessible, adequate, safe and <br />potable supply of water shall be provided in each mobile home <br />park. Connection shall be made to the public supply of water. <br />rhe public supply shall be adequate both for domestic requirements <br />and for fire fighting requirements established by the City. <br /> <br />(1) Water Distribution System. <br /> <br />a. The water supply system of the mobile home park <br />shall be connected by pipes or tubing to all mobile homes, <br />buildings, and other facilities requiring water. <br /> <br />b. All water piping, fixtures, and other equipment <br />shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with State and <br />City regulations and requirements. <br /> <br />(2) Individual water riser pipes and connections shall be <br />in accordance with requirements of the C1ty Plumbing Code, as <br />applicable. <br /> <br />H. Sewage Disposal. From and after the effective date of <br />this Ordinance, the following shall apply. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />(1) General Requirements. An adequate sanitary and safe <br />sewerage system shall be provided 1n all mobile home parks for <br />conveying and disposing of all sewage. The sewer system for a <br />mobile home park shall be constructed in accordance with the <br />City Plumbing Code, as applicable. All proposed sewage disposal <br />facilities shall be approved by the City Health Officer and <br />Director of Public Works prior to construction. The use of septic <br />tanks for the disposal of sewage shall not be approved except <br />when City sewage facilities are not ava1lable. <br />
