ORDINANCE NO, 1974 - 40 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF BOYNTON STREET TO FRANKLIN DRIVE. 18 WHEREAS, a certain street in the City of San Marcos has been previously platted and dedicated as Boynton Street; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has been petitioned to change I the name of Boynton Street to Franklin Drive so as to extend Franklin Street west of Bishop Street within said City; and, WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that such change of name should be made; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Part 1. That the street now platted and dedicated as Boynton Street within said City, be and is hereby, changed and renamed as Franklin,Street. Part 2. That the City Traffic Engineer be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to change his maps, plats, and I records, and to change all signs and markings, so as to indi- cate such name to be the proper name of said street. Part 3. That the City Planning Department, be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to change its maps, plats, and records to reflect such name change and further that the City Planning Department shall provide notice of the naming of such street to all other City Departments, including the Fire and Police Departments.
