(602-H} CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN+MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE PROVIS~ON OF TOURIST DEVELOPMENT SERVICES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos has I inacted a Hotel Occupancy Room Tax Ordinance; and, WHEREAS, such ordinance authorizes the City Council to contract with persons or organizations for advertising and general promotion of tourist development; and, WHEREAS, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce proposes to provide such tourist development services for the~ity of San Marcos; ~ow, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED AND AGREED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH.E CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: L1A PART 1. That the City of San Marcos will allocate funds from the revenues of the Hotel Occupancy Room Tax to the San ~ I Marcos Chamber of Commerce for expenditures for touri.st develop- ment serliices. PART 2. That the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce shall submit a periodic budget (not less than semi-annually) requesting allocation of additional funds as made available from the revenues of the Hotel Occupancy Room Tax. Such budget presentations shall include a report of activities. and expenditures .from previously allocated funds. PART 3. That 'bu(igets and eXPlilndi t,ures for tourist develop- ment services shall be made with the advice and consent of a committee of five (5) persons; two (2) appointed by the City Council of the City of San Marcos, two (2) appointed by the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce, and the fifth person selected by I the four appointees. The City Manager of the City of San Marcos and the Manager of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce shall serve as ex-officio members of the committee,
