<br />-6- <br /> <br />103-e <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />SECTION 17: In administering this ordinance, the city <br />will coordinate its administration with affected neighboring juris~ <br />dictions to assure compatibility of related flood control and flood <br />plain manag-ement decisions and measures across jurisdictional lines. <br />SECTION 18: The City Council is hereby delegated a~thority <br />to promulgate, publish, and apply g-uidelines and stal1dards required <br />in the uniform administration of this ordinance. Such guidelines <br />and standards shall be available for public inspection at the City <br />Hall of the City of San Marcos, 200 N. Guadalupe Street, San <br />Marcos, Texas. <br />SECTION 19: It is not intended by this ordinance to repeal, <br />abrogate, or impair any existing easements, covenants, or deed <br />restrictions. However, where the administration of terms of this <br />ordinance will impose greater restrictions, the provisions of this <br />ordinance shall prevail. All other ordinances or regulatiOns <br />inconsistent with provisions herein are hereby repealed to the <br />extent of the inconsistency only. <br />SECTION 20: Flood protection required by this ordinance <br />is reasonable and is based upon sound surveys, data interpretations, <br />and computations. However, larger floods than that of a one percent <br />chance of occurring in any year may occur on rarer occasions or <br />under unusual conditions. Flood heights may be higher than computed, <br />due to man-made or natural causes which inhibit discharge of flood- <br />waters. This ordinance does not imply that areas outside of desig- <br />natedareas of special flood hazard or that uses permitted within <br />such delineations will be free of flooding or flood damage. This <br />ordinance shall not create liability on the part of the city or <br />any officer or employee thereof for any personal injury, death, <br />or property damage from flooding that may result from reliance on <br />this ordinance or on any administrative decision lawfully made <br />thereunder. <br />SECTION 21: Upon any person being adversly affe.cted by <br />the provisions of this ordinance, he shall be entitled to appeal <br />to the Board of Adjustment of the City of San Marcos as appears <br />in those ordinances dealing- with the BUilding, Electrical, Plumbing, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />l <br />
