<br />-7- <br /> <br />l03-f! <br /> <br />and Housing Standard ordinances heretofore adopted by the. City of <br /> <br />San Marcos, or as such may hereinafter be amended. <br /> <br />SECTION 22: Any violation of the provisions herein shall <br /> <br />be punishable by a fine not less than five dollars ($5.00) and <br />not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200.00) in amount. Each day <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />that the violation continues shall be considered as a separate offense. <br />SECTION 23: Should any section, sub-section, sentence, or <br /> <br />provision of this ordinance be declared to be unconstitutional <br /> <br />by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect <br />the validity of any of the remaining part or parts hereof, except <br />insofar as the part so declared unconstitutional or void is indis- <br />pensable to the operation of the remaining part or parts. <br /> <br />SECTION 24: That urgent necessity requires that this <br /> <br />ordinance be passed as an emergency measure for the immediate <br /> <br />preservation of the public peace, property, health, welfare, and <br />safety of said City and its inhabitants; therefore, the provisions <br />of the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, which ordinarily <br />requires ordinances to be read on three (3) several days and that <br />no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />days following the dates of its final passage be dispensed with. <br />This ordinance shall become effective immediately from and after <br /> <br />its passage. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this <br /> <br />25th day of November <br /> <br />A.D. 1974. <br /> <br />/L.-..~ <br /> <br />Dr. Emmie Craddock <br />~1ayor <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A~T:.
