J <br />The sooner you know whether you need to manually collect on an <br />item, the better the chances of collecting it. <br />Information can be entered into negative databases faster with <br />Electronic Returns, so the customer can stop accepting checks <br />sooner, reducing the number of potentially fraudulent items <br />accepted. <br />2. Are checks automatically re- deposited? How many times? <br />At Wells Fargo, our standard return item processing includes automatic re -clear of all first -time <br />non - sufficient funds (NSF) and uncollected items under $300. We will forward return items and <br />advices to your statement address. If applicable, your advices and reports will include location <br />numbers. We make one summary debit per location per day. Returns are always debited from the <br />account where they were originally deposited. <br />Wells Fargo provides customized processing options including for Return Item Special <br />Instructions. <br />3. When and how will the City be notified of return items? <br />You may view all returned items on -line the same day we receive them in our Returned Items <br />processing center. Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. ET, our Commercial <br />Electronic Office (CEO) Returned Item Decisioning service allows you to view images of <br />returns as they arrive at Wells Fargo. And, you can change the default disposition (redeposit, <br />chargeback) on NSF and UCF items by clicking on a radio button until 7:30 p.m. ET. Access is <br />controlled by User ID and account numbers. <br />In addition to standard return item processing, we also offer optional services, some of which may <br />require additional fees. <br />• Automatic redeposit of all first time returned checks up to your specified dollar limit. <br />• Mail the advice to an address other than the statement address and /or mail a copy of <br />the advice to a different address. <br />• Separate debits for each return item versus one debit for multiple items. <br />• Chargeback of items to an account other than original depository account. <br />• Data transmission of returned item information, including keyed information such as <br />maker name, phone number, address, etc. <br />• Daily online reporting using the CEO Treasury Information Reporting system, <br />including keyed information such as maker name, phone number, and address. <br />4. Is the applicant capable of processing the second presentment as an ACH with a <br />targeted presentment date (electronic check recovery service "RCK ")? Describe <br />in full. Is the applicant currently using this method for NSF checks? If so, how <br />long has the applicant been providing this service? What level of collection is <br />normal with RCK? <br />
